Seed Cycling For Hormone Health

I get asked about seed cycling all the time!

It’s a great way to naturally support your own hormone swings, is simple and can be done by absolutely anyone (menstruating or not)! Grind up the seeds and eat them daily. You can put the seeds in smoothies, soups, stews, oatmeal, on avocados or anywhere else you want!

If you’re suffering with PMS symptoms such as moodiness, cramping, bloating, breast tenderness, headaches, irregular periods, fertility issues, peri-menopausal symptoms, hot flashes, heavy periods, restless sleep, or other hormone imbalance symptoms

To do seed cycling:

You want to use 1-2 TBSP of each seed about 5-7 days per week.

1. Start on day 1 of your period with flaxseed and pumpkin seeds to support your natural estrogen levels for 14 days.
2. On day 15, switch to sunflower seeds and sesame seeds to support the natural progesterone levels in your body.
If your period is irregular or you’re postmenopausal and not having a period, just start for 14 days and then switch.

One caveat – this isn’t a quick fix. It takes about 3 cycles to see changes, so keep at it! I suggest doing it at least 5 days a week over the long haul!
