Rice Krispie Treat Coal
This is a very simple recipe, but it’s fun for the holidays! All you do is make rice krispies and then add some black food coloring and tear into little pieces to look like coal!
  • 1/4 cup butter (I added slightly more)
  • 10.5 ounce bag mini marshmallows
  • 4 cups rice krispie cereal (this is cut down from the regular rice krispies recipe)
  • black food coloring (found at grocery stores and craft stores)
1. Melt the butter on low
2. Add your marshmallows
3. Once this is melted, add the black food coloring.
4. Stir in your rice krispies until they are all covered with the marshmallow mixture.
5. Take out small handfuls and mold them into little pieces.
