MIM 036 | Acupuncture for Women’s Health and Pregnancy

I always get the question –

What can acupuncture help with?

Well the short answer to that question is that traditional Chinese medicine is a full system of medicine, so it can help with virtually any condition other than emergency situations.  It’s basically limitless in it’s uses and what we can treat.

I work a lot with women’s health issues entailing anything from preconception, PMS, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and menopause.  Acupuncture has been shown over and over than it is really good at balancing hormones and alleviating symptoms associated with all of these times throughout a women’s life.

During pregnancy, acupuncture can help with everything from morning sickness, hyperemesis gravidarum, pain anywhere in the body, headaches, heartburn, small babies, fatigue, leg cramps, cervical effacement and dilation, optimal positioning of the baby, irritability, fear, stress, worry, and lots more!

Throughout this episode of the podcast, I discuss the ins and outs of using acupuncture as a treatment for all your ailments!

Have you ever tried acupuncture?

Are you worried about the needles if you haven’t tried it?

The needles are really tiny and pretty painless – you can fit about 10 acupuncture needles in a hypodermic needle!
