As we are closing out our first year with Aiden (tear) and putting his baby stuff in storage to make room for his new toys and gadgets, I couldn’t help but think about what our best purchases have been.
Creating a baby registry is a daunting task, so hopefully this will help you figure out what you need with your baby!

Our Top 20 Favorite Items For Year 1
We lived in these for about 2-3 months. Â You can swaddle with their arms in or out, so it makes the transition to non-swaddling easier. Â It’s also easier and safer than swaddling with a traditional blanket.
This is a perfect stroller for everywhere – not just jogging.
You are able to use this from birth (with infant insert) to toddlerhood. Â The baby can be worn on your front when they are really young and then on your back when they are about 11 months.
Aiden started using this when he was about 7 months! Â It’s perfect to learn to use a straw early on.
He pushes this and has taught him to walk. Â This isn’t the exact model we have – we have bottons that talk and sing songs on ours. Â We also push him around on it because he’s too little still to reach the ground to push himself. Â He plays with this all day from 10 months on.
These are so nice to wear in lieu of pants or as layering when it’s really cold outside. Â Changing diapers is so much easier with these!
We used Carters brand most of the time and really liked them. Â We hated the botton sleepers because they took too long on a squirmy baby.
These clothes contain magnets for easy fastening. Â They are ideal for newborns up to about 5 months because then babies start to open the magnets and the clothes become undone. Â We loved this stuff early on!
This is an interactive stuffed animal that you are able to program your child’s name, favorite food and color as well as songs and nursery rhymes.
Aiden got this for Christmas when he was almost 10 months and loves cruising around in it. Â We have used it in our house, around the block and to the park. Â It almost can double as a stroller for not too far distances.
We used these on-the-go and the puffs when we put him in his highchair before meals and were still preparing his food to keep him occupied.
These were lifesavers when I was at the beginning of breastfeeding and my nipples burned, cracked and hurt. Â I’ve heard this brand is the only brand to buy because the others can tear off skin when removing them. Â These can be worn for 7 days.
Aiden slept in this for the first 4 months of his life until he started rolling over in it and pushing to try to get out. Â It’s light, folds up nicely and is very transportable.
This is a nice safe place to put the baby in when you need two hands, such as when you’re taking a shower or cooking. Â Aiden used this from about 2 months – 11 months.
We used this from 3.5 months – 11 months for the same purpose as the Baby Bjorn chair, but this entertained him a little bit more.
I use a humidifier in Aidens’ room every night in the dry Denver air.
We’ve used this every night since Aiden’s been born too. Â There is a projector also that has a picture of a sheep and a moon.
Critical for feeding, rocking, reading, etc.
This is great for teething relief as well as GI disturbances caused by teething.
These are the only kind of books he really likes these days! Anything with a flap or something to touch he’s happy with.
