Snapshots of the Weekend

Why do weekends always go so fast?  I look forward to them all week and then in a flash, it’s Monday again.  This weekend is special because we get an extra day with David off work for Martin Luther King Day!

Voodoo Doughnuts opened in Denver recently and David really wanted to try some, so we trekked down to the store, stood in a line for an hour and got him a dozen doughnuts to share with our neighbors and friends.  The line didn’t look like it was the long, but low and behold, it was!

Too bad there are no allergen-free doughnuts because as a doughnut-lover, these looked good!

We also went out to enjoy the fresh wintery air and took some pictures of each other in the process! DSC01664

Sunday morning started with Starbucks and taking Otis to the park with the family.  The off-leash dog park is the greatest thing in Otis’ life, so we try to take him there as frequently as possible. image-3

We also had an obligation to cheer on our Broncos!  I have gotten so into football this year and we were so excited to see them win and get a trip to the Super Bowl!  I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself without Peyton Manning every Sunday. image-6

We also had more than a few trips around the block in our new car! image-1 This was a nice family-filled weekend!  I cherish them so much, even though the go by in a blink of an eye.

What did you do this weekend?

Are you a football fan?

  1. I miss the open space parks and off leash dog areas in Boulder, plus all the walking trails and outdoorsy-ness in general. I can’t even get decent sidewalks in FL.
Ugh I’ve been craving a donut for at least a couple days now, that pic didn’t help at all. They look so over the top and fun! I’d settle for a basic one. Too bad they weren’t allergen free though. bumm-er.
And, heck yes that the Broncos are going to the superbowl. I am so excited!
