Happy holiday season! Â Now that it’s November, I guess that kicks it off, right?!
I know this post is a little late as Halloween was last Thursday, but better late than never right? Â I obviously knew that Halloween this year was not going to be enticing to an 8 month old. Â He was going to wonder what the heck was going on. Â It was most definitely more for me, but we partook in the holiday and got some cute pictures.
I was looking for things to do with an 8 month old all week such as a play group or something where you brought your babies in costume. Â There were several places like Boo at the Zoo to do that, but they were all the previous weekend. Â There were also a couple more places that hosted kids’ Halloween parties where babies could attend, such as The Mama’hood, but that is a further drive than I wanted for what I knew was going to be such a short lived experience.
We decided to go to downtown Parker for their Trick or Treating on the street. Â It was a nice event. Â They closed the street which was lined with vendors and kids ran awry. Â As luck would have it, Aiden fell asleep right as we were leaving in my arms and really didn’t fully wake up the entire time. Â He was less than amused at all the activities and we stayed there for about 30 minutes and then went home to tend the house for our trick or treaters.
I thought that Aiden would have been interested in seeing other kids dressed up because he’s so observent and loves other kids, but he was too tired to deal with it. Â Oh well… there’s always all the years to come.
Did you have a good Halloween?
What did your kids dress up as?
