We had a pretty good week over here. I finally made it back to the gym, I had a long lost family cousin come to town and we met up and I feel like I did well on my pledge to myself and “The Birth Stories” finally launched! We did have a few sleepless nights, but last night he made up for it. Although at 2:30 in the morning, he wanted to play and climb all over everything for an hour. In the morning, he didn’t get up until 8:40 – a new record by a long shot for us! Aiden turns 7 months today! I’ll have his 7 month post up Monday!
It was also the first snow of the season today! Ahhh – it’s Oct. 4. It’ll be in the high 70’s by Sunday though.
Anyways, here is what I’ve been loving this week.
24 Hour Fitness. I finally made my big debut back to the gym and put Aiden in the gym daycare. They wouldn’t take him until he was 6 months old and then September came and went for some reason. Anyways, I have been loving the stairmaster and getting some weights workouts in. I love working out in the morning also! This has changed my life:)
Love and Logic Parenting Classes. David and I decided that we would take a series of three Love and Logic parenting classes with some friends. It was offered at the Pregnancy Wellness Center of Parker – the place where I run my business out of. The classes were helpful to get David and I on the same page in terms of disciplining. We took the class a little early, but it’ll be nice to start parenting this way off the bat instead of having to correct discipline problems. They have classes all over, but you can also buy the book too! I’m going to dedicate a whole post about this soon.
Pizza Republica. When we met my cousin the other night, we decided to try this place out. It was authentic neapolitan pizza and it was yummy! We all got side caesar salads and then we shared a pizza that was half pizza and half calzone. They just folded half of it in half to create the calzone, but it was filled with ricotta cheese, spinach, artichoke and some other good stuff. The pizza half had some EVOO, salami and tomatoes.
Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Walnut Raisin Cookies. This pretty much captures all my favorite cookie ingredients all combined together, with the exception of chocolate, but one cookie can’t have everything, right? These look pretty darn delish.
Clean Eating Oatmeal Bites. I’m obviously having a thing for oatmeal recipes this week, but these little things look tasty too (and they are healthy) and once you make them, they are quick bites, which all moms need.
Favorite Quote. With the ups and downs of life with an infant, trying to start a new business from the ground up and all the other trials and tribulations that happen, I need to remember this!
I hope you all have a great weekend. I think we’re going to check out a fall festival and go on a hike to see some fall foliage. I just love the fall. The snow will probably be melted, so we’ll be in the clear to resume the fall season. I also have a few house projects planned, football to be watched and some relaxation to be had. See you Monday:)
