I’m not going to lie when I tell you that I’m feeling a little bit uncomfortable in the past few days. Â I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to be pregnant. Â Your guess is as good as mine. Â I guess I’ll just relax and wait for little Aiden to decide he wants to meet me as bad as I want to meet him.
It’s that time again this week… Friday Favorites.
Favorite kitchen accessory. Heart bowls from Etsy.  Are these not the cutest bowls you’ve ever seen?!  I love them.  I don’t even know if I would use them to eat out of if I got them.
Favorite indulgence. Chocolate chip cookie dough brownie bombs.  As Hayley puts it, “Talk about the ultimate indulgence. Sometimes, the decision between fudgy, gooey brownies or chewy, buttery chocolate chip cookies is one I’m not willing to make. It’s not fair to either rejected party when I both want them so equally, and love them both so much. So I fixed the problem with a decadent chocolate/cookie dough bomb that melts in your mouth and tastes AWESOME.”  I wouldn’t mind trying these either!
Favorite cute idea. Candy sushi.  Where has this idea been for the past 9 months of not eating sushi?!  This might have even done the trick for me in lieu of the real thing (a totally different flavor, but just as tasty I would imagine).  The “rice” is rice krispie treats, the fish is swedish fish and the “seaweed” is fruit rollups.
Favorite seasonal idea. Easter flowers.  I can’t believe Easter is so early this year.  It’s literally almost upon us (or will be before we know it). I anticipate my March flying by with family visiting and having a new baby.  I love the floral choices in this arrangement and the using the eggs as a filler adds a nice festive touch.
Favorite “light” dessert. Easy fruit trifle.  I’m really in the mood for juicy fruits lately, so this looks really appetizing to me!  On top of that, it contains banana cream pudding among a few other ingredients.  This would be perfect for the summer!
Favorite “healthy” dessert. Â Paleo chocolate chip cookies. Â These little babies contain no flour and are perfectly acceptable for the paleo community and/or gluten free folks. Â They don’t have any dairy in them either (which is paleo I guess).
Favorite ice cream/mousse recipe. Chocolate coconut ice cream/mousse.  This recipe can double as either ice cream or mousse depending on the method of preparation.  It contains no dairy either.  I have realized that I absolutely cannot tolerate dairy.  It makes me bloated and have terrible heartburn and digestive issues.  Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s just a pregnancy issue because I was tested for sensitivity last Spring and I was highly sensitive to it.  I’ve been eating Chobani greek yogurt lately and it definitely doesn’t agree with me.  No one should eat dairy anyways, so it’s just as well.  With recipes like this, we don’t need cow’s milk anyway.
Favorite drink recipe. Raspberry peach lemonade.  This simple recipe contains only four ingredients – agave nectar, peaches, raspberries and lemon juice!  Perfecto.
Favorite DIY project for Spring. Cheerful doormat. I love all the colors of this mat and how cheerful it is!  It reminds me that Spring is right around the corner and that should bring some rain! YAY!
Okay there we have it for the Friday Favorites. Â If any of you make any of these things each week, let me know! Â I don’t make all of them although I try some of them. Â There’s just too many:)
With that said, I’m on labor watch all weekend which may or may not drive me insane. Â Every twinge I think it’s it. Â One of these times, it will be though!
Have a great weekend!
