TGIF! Â With my birthday this past Tuesday, this week seems to have flown by. Â I’m okay with it though… weekends are always nice. Â We are doing some more finishing touches on the nursery, packing the hospital bags and diaper bag, working a little bit, meeting a friend, walking and last, but not least, RELAXING! Â My mom will be in town also!
Here it is – Friday Favorites!
Favorite easy and healthy treat. Two ingredient cookies.  All you do is mash two bananas and add 1 cup of quick oats, then bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.  Add-ins, such as chocolate chips, raisins, walnuts, etc. are also great!
Favorite organization. Bra and underwear drawer organization.  I think I’m in the nesting phase of pregnancy because I’m in the mood to organize absolutely everything.  Messes and clutter are driving me crazy lately.  Can someone come over and do this to my drawer?!
Favorite Mexican dish. Bean and avocado salsa tortilla cups.  These little babies look amazing! They look so fresh, delicious and healthy.  AND they remind me that warmer weather is upon the horizon because they look like summer to me.
Favorite shirt style. Mint julep sheer top.  I think with this pregnancy coming to an end, the weather warming up and hoping for the possibility of not wearing maternity clothes anymore, I’m looking at non-maternity clothes and LOVING them!  This shirt is so darn cute (and it could hide the remnants of a pregnant belly).
Favorite non-dairy treat. Strawberry ice cream.  This recipe contains only three ingredients: coconut milk fat, strawberries and honey.  I’m trying to eat a little bit less dairy right now for health reasons, so anytime I can find dairy products converted with almond milk or coconut milk, I’m more than game.  Plus, how good does coconut milk in ice cream sound?
Favorite crafty idea. Packing tape image transfers.  Who knew you could do this?!  This is such a cute idea!!
Favorite jewelry. Tiny gold heart Valentines ring.  It must be Valentine’s day in the air because I’ve been liking hearts lately.  This ring is really cute and can be found on Etsy!
Favorite smoothie. The green machine.  Usually with smoothies, I like more chocolatey ones, but this one looks really good!  It’s packed with nutrients and could probably be eaten daily.  I LOVE Oikos green yogurt, but as I said earlier, I’m trying to reduce the dairy, so I would probably add some almond milk/coconut milk yogurt instead.  It’s just as good!!  For more protein, you could add some high quality protein powder.
Favorite soup. Creamy curried chickpea soup.  First of all, this recipe comes from one of my all-time favorite blogs, Daily Garnish.  She’s went to culinary school and makes amazing recipes and she has the cutest little boy also!  Secondly, I have been loving curry lately!  The prep time for this is only 10 minutes, so I think I might make a batch sometime soon!
Favorite festive indulgence. Homemade strawberry heart poptarts.  How long has it been since you had a poptart?!  Gosh, it’s been a long time for me!  I LOVE them, but they obviously offer little more than preservatives, fat, sugar and other yucky stuff (well, and they taste amazing).  Now, homemade poptarts would cut out the crappy chemicals while still preserving the sugary taste we all long for!  While I wouldn’t call that exactly healthy, it’s much better than the store bought ones!  AND they look so pretty and festive for Valentine’s day!
