I’ve been meaning to share something with you for a couple of weeks now. Â I’m sure many of you have heard of Bountiful Baskets now, but David and I actually bought one the past two weeks. Â Bountiful Baskets is a food COOP where you order a basket on weeks when you want one, pay about $15 and then go pick it up on Saturday mornings at a location you chose when ordering. Â The baskets contain different types of produce each week, so you never really know what you are going to get, so there is some flexibility required. Â You receive a fruit and veggie basket. Â You can also order different types of bread available for the week (this week was sourdough), olive oil, granola or a type of trail mix. The quantities are very big for a very reasonable price. Â I think it’s awesome and if there is one in your area, you should sign up! Â It’s fun to see what you get in the baskets and it also expands your horizons a little bit when you get “new to you” produce.
The first week this is what we received: beets, artichokes, apples, bananas, pineapple, tomatoes, jicama, mangoes, lettuce, and strawberries. Â The second week, we received most of the same stuff except blackberries, avocados, and spinach were included in lieu of some of the other stuff.
The other day I completed a treadmill workout for only 25 minutes, but I was super sweaty afterwards and it got me in and out of the gym in a jiffy (did I just say that?). Â I adapted this workout from Julie, at PB Fingers.
The travel section of the blog is a new work in progress. Â I have the “Thailand” and “Malaysia” pages finished now, but I’m still working on quite a few more, so check back frequently. Â I also added some new workouts to the “Fitness” tab.
It’s officially finals week at school! Â I have two finals tonight after clinic, so wish me luck:)
