Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oatmeal Made Easy

First things first!  Yesterday I did a great 45 minute treadmill workout that took me to about 4.10 miles!  It was a great boredom-buster and way to incorporate intervals.  I modified this workout from Julie. Pin It
Secondly, I made a great simple breakfast recipe yesterday!  How about some apple cinnamon steel cut oats that make themselves.  Think crock pot.

Ingredients: Steel cut oats, almond milk, water, cinnamon, apples, brown sugar, and salt.

Add all the ingredients together in your slow cooker.

Then cook for 5 hours.

Crock Pot Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oatmeal

Servings: 5-6

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 5 hours


  • 3 apples, cored and cut into small pieces
  • 3 cups almond milk (or any kind of milk)
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups uncooked steel cut oatmeal
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Coat the  inside of crock pot with cooking spray. Add all ingredients to slow cooker. Stir, cover, and cook on low for 5 hours.  Store leftovers in refrigerator. When you reheat this leftovers, just add a little milk to your taste and microwave.
Today is my last day of work as a personal trainer.  I am getting so, so close to getting finished with school that I want to focus on getting my thesis done, study for boards, and take as much clinic and classes as possible!  I am going to miss everyone at Power 1K, but I’ll still be in the Phoenix area for a little bit longer.  With that said, here is my newest co-worker:
