Be Great

Be Great

What does it mean to be great versus mediocre?  Mediocrity can be defined as being average; not as being either inferior or poor.  In life, this can be translated as liking your job “alright,” feeling like you settled in a relationship, answering “fine” to the question “how are you?, being “semi” overweight, eating kinda healthy, and doing “okay” in your performance.”  Mediocrity means that you are following a preset path and putting up with your daily life.  These people don’t usually set goals to change the mediocrity in their lives. In today’s society, I would say the majority of people live mediocre.

Greatness, on the other hand, is trying to live the most fulfilling life possible.  Waking up each day and deciding how they can strive to be better.  They set goals and aim for the top.  They know what they want and go get it.  Living in a state of greatness means not putting up with anything, but rather making it the way you want it.  These people demand the best relationships, jobs, companies, and pay they can get.  They aren’t willing to settle for anything less than the best.

We need to change our attitudes and demand the best out of ourselves first.  If we don’t do this, other people will assume our mediocrity is the best we can do.  Most people have just settled for unhappiness and have never even been exposed to greatness.  We need to think outside the box and figure out what we want out of life and start goal setting.  We are our own leader.  There doesn’t need to be anyone else that tells us how to live our life.  We are supposed to find people that fit into our life, not people that make us give up our aspirations.

Not willing to give up on dreams

Being our own leader

Doesn’t follow a predestined path

Sets goals

Doesn’t act based on fear

Isn’t afraid of what the world will think of them

Confident, poised, hopeful, and self-reliant

Healthy body and mind

Personal satisfaction

Craves accomplishment

Takes responsibility for all their own actions

Decide for yourself to stop living a life of mediocrity.  Change the world and start living for yourself!  Together, we can advance the world from mediocrity to GREATNESS!
