Yesterday ended up being a little longer than my 12 hour workday as expected. My boss called me in the late morning and asked if I could cover someone else’s shift from 4-8, so after my acupuncture clinic shift I headed over there, but not before going to That’s a Wrap restaurant. I had never been there before but had heard raving reviews on it. It was a cute lil place in uptown Phoenix that had a hippie atmosphere. Their ingredients are organic and fresh and they have lots of good homemade tea in there. Phoenix was so hot yesterday and I was exhausted so I needed some cool veggies to keep me going for the next few hours. I ordered the Prince of Thai wrap which had sauteed peanut chicken, spinach, ginger slaw, cucumber pico, red onion, and garlic rice in a spinach tortilla. It was like a party in my mouth. It contained all of the five flavors (sweet, salty, bitter, and pungent. It was a perfect mix and also cooled me down a little bit.
I didn’t get home until 9pm last night after waking up at 4, so I was mighty tired when I got home, but David surprised me with wedding cake fro-yo, so it was all good:) By the way, I don’t ever have intense cravings, but on Sunday night I had one where I could actually taste wedding cake in my mouth, so just HIT THE SPOT!
