Pure Cardio – Pure Insane

Last night I practically had to plead with myself to set the alarm clock for 4 am, but I did it and when it went off today, I was glad that I did.  It’s not always fun getting up in what seems to be the middle of the night, but it totally sets the pace for my week when I get my Monday morning workout in.  Today’s Insanity workout was “Pure Cardio” and it was just that.  Instead of having interval training where we do 4 exercises and take a 30 second break before going into the 2nd set, we just did about 15 exercises for 1 minute each back-to-back.  It’s definitely hard, but so rewarding.

All smiles after a great workout! (Sorry about the sweat)

Stretching at the end of the workout is definitely my favorite part.  My muscles definitely need it!

For breakfast, I wasn’t particularly craving anything, which is odd for me.  I opted to go with oatmeal again because there is lots of nutrients in there that would re-fuel my body and get me through my 12 hour workday.  I have work today at the training studio and then I’m off to clinic.  At least Mondays are kinda like my Fridays though with Tuesdays being off! WOO HOO

Refueling

In today’s oatmeal, I pretty much added every ingredient I had that would go with oatmeal.  I don’t measure very well; I just kinda pour to my heart’s content.

3/4 cup Oats

1 tsp. Peanut Butter

Almond Milk to make it moist

Splenda Brown Sugar

Cinnamon (I use more than the average person)

Pumpkin Pie Spice

Somedays I feel like more P.B. and sometimes I feel like more brown-sugar and cinnamon… all depends on my mood:)  Right now, I’m drinking my body weight in Lipton’s Diet Green Tea with Citrus.  It has the caffeine that I like and also is so refreshing in the heat.
